Charles Hougham (Master silversmith, 1748-1793, active in London from 1769 to 1793). Pair of large tankards each resting on a bell foot. Sinuous handle ending in a heart-shaped motif. Palmettes cover. Molded silver. George III period, goldsmith's mark and London letter date for 1788. Total weight: 1,709 g. Height: 20 cm. Provenance: Acquired June 20, 1955, from Spink & Son, London. Document. Condition : Very good condition, slight dent in the lid of one piece. Provenance: R.Marchal Collection.
