St. John's eagle. The talons are attached to a globe and the wings are spread. Head surmounted by a support that was probably intended to hold a piece of silverware such as a crown. Carved and gilded wood. Mounted on a tripod wrought-iron landier. 17th century French work. Height : 68 cm. Width : 59 cm. Total height : 153 cm. Condition : Restoration and missing parts. Later metal legs.
